Perfect Day

Being an avid snowboarder myself, when I saw this picture all I could think of was perfect. A perfect day, a perfect slope and just how peaceful everything looks. The way the snowboarder just seems to fit in with his surroundings just adds to the smooth and simple setting. The sun sitting just above the slope also adds this majestic aura while at the same time illuminated the slope's horizon so that your eye is instantly drawn to the figure.

This is a design I found online. The colors were not very exciting so I thought I would just spice it up a bit.

Hue and Saturation

I just took one of my Alphabet Soup photos and just changed the Hue and Saturation.

More letter fun. This time its not so random though.
Just having fun with Letters. Don't really know if anything has a meaning. It's all just extremely random.

I really like this picture mainly because of the its simplicity. The solitary figure sitting at the end of a bench strikes a very serene yet forlorn image. The figure's posture also gives off this feeling of sadness by the way he is slouched against the back of the bench as if tired or even defeated. The use of just black and white helps to reinforce these feelings and thought as well.
Another thing I find that really makes this picture so intriguing is the camera angle and the way that the bars of the bench draw your eye to that figure. By tilting the camera so that it is not just a straight shot of the person definitely adds to the mood of the piece. Also by not filling the background with clutter, the artist is able to portray his message more clearly and allows us as an audience to interpret his work more precisely and connect with it on a more personal level.

This is based off of the various little drawings I have done in the margin of some of my class notes.  I've always drawn it with one color though so to add different colors and to liquify it completely changed the way it would originally look but obviously for the better.

The First of Many

So this is officially my first blog post ever and I'm sure that there will definitely be many more to follow.  I've always been wary of the way information can be somewhat carelessly displayed over the internet so that has always been the main reason behind me being reluctant to join the blogging bandwagon. Guess it was only a matter of time before I did and I hope you guys enjoy what I put up.
