So this is a picture my friend took of her dog Bear. I really like how she managed to blur out most of the picture except for the edges and how his collar is still blue. She's really into photography and I really like what she's done with this.

Remembering D-Day
Today I was browsing through the BBC website just trying to keep in touch with current events and I stumbled across this picture. It was part of gallery put together to remember the 65th Anniversary of D-Day. There were other pictures showing several world leaders and veterans but something about this picture caught my attention more so than the others. I think that the way the person is in focus and the tombstones lined behind her are not. Also the way the flag is blowing and how it lines up perfectly with one of the markers. Overall I just get this very patriotic yet somber attitude from it and I think it really captures what the moment is about.

So for my mom's birthday, my sister and I had absolutely no clue what to get her. Eventually we decided that since she really didn't have enough pictures of us plastered everywhere that giving her a couple portraits would be nice. Out of the million we had taken this is by far my favorite. It was taken on the UC Davis campus by the Arboretum. It's a really similar to Lithia Park and the whole paths on either side of the little stream set up. Anyways, the setting was perfect and I really like how we look extremely intense but really we were just trying to stay dry. It started pouring the minute we decided to take photos.

Movie Poster
It took me a while to come up with movie to use for my poster and I was seriously having some trouble choosing one surprisingly. Until I watched this one and then the rest is history as they say.

Perfect Day

Being an avid snowboarder myself, when I saw this picture all I could think of was perfect. A perfect day, a perfect slope and just how peaceful everything looks. The way the snowboarder just seems to fit in with his surroundings just adds to the smooth and simple setting. The sun sitting just above the slope also adds this majestic aura while at the same time illuminated the slope's horizon so that your eye is instantly drawn to the figure.
